Actorlympics! 2005
This Saturday night, I will be watching a comedy play called Actorlympics! 2005 at The Actors Studio Bangsar in Bangsar Shopping Centre. I will have great company too - Deep Blue Sea, Insane Ox, Pick Yin and M&M.
Apart from our sate dinner on Tuesday night, I haven't been going to the theatres or been hanging out with Deep Blue Sea, Insane Ox and Pick Yin for quite a long while. I've been too busy with work on weekdays, and not to mention partying with Devil's Advocate, Mr. Incredible and The Gang most Friday and, or Saturday nights, I guess. I need to relax my partying and to start doing more meaningful and intellectually stimulating activities - with a more mature but equally fun crowd. My brain, body and soul needs it :)
Well, here's sharing with you the synopsis of the play:
See some of the best of Malaysia's live improv-comedy performers onstage in another instalment of Actorlympics! as they try to outwit and outperform each other - playing theatre-sports games such as 'Stand Up Sit Down Bend Over', 'Inventions' and everyone's favourite, 'Line In a Bucket'.
Prepare to take part: players will create skits from scratch based on suggestions from the audience. Featuring Afdlin Shauki, Harith Iskandar, Patrick Teoh, Ida Nerina, Edwin Sumun, Nell Ng, Gavin Yap, Reza Zainal Abidin and Jason Lo.
If you are keen to watch, the play will be on from now until March 6. Showtimes are at 8.30 pm for all days and at 3:00 pm Sunday matinee. Tickets cost RM47 / RM42. Get from Actors Studio Box Office. Call (03) 2094 0400 / (03)2094 1400 for reservation.
