Girls talk, boys to men
I had a chance to chat with Mel, a Global Freeloader from Manila, the Philippines, who was my house guest for a few days two weeks ago.
As they say, have friends will travel. So far, I've hosted four Global Freeloaders, and made new friends from three countries: Mel G from the Philippines, Crazee-D from the USA, and Roman and Anna from Slovakia. Come to think of it, they are all from three different continents: Asia, America and Europe. I really enjoy this :)
Mel was hoping that my mom's cat, Chickadee, would find himself a girlfriend soon, to which I quickly said, "Ooooh nooooo, not the cat, please, we don't want him to find a girlfriend!"
"Hahaha! Why? That cat needs a social life. Or are you afraid he'll get a cat pregnant and you'll have a whole litter of kittens running around?"
Actually, we don't want him coming home with cuts and bruises from his fights with other male cats to win a female cat.
To which, Mel G said, "Ahh, so he's a fighter, not a lover. Too bad. I guess they're like human males, then. Boys fight all the time."
Hahaha, no comment, Mel! Boys will be boys! Mel agreed that's true in all species. They still do after how many million years of evolution of the species? Oh man!
age of men
One topic led to another. Next thing I know, we were talking about men and boys.
I was lamenting to her that it's difficult to find someone with whom you can have a good balance of physical chemistry, and intellectual, emotional and spiritual connectivity with. That would be the ideal "Mr. Right" for me, I supposed he would be a rare species, and probably endangered, if not extinct. Most probably extinct or on the verge of extinction, because, I've learned there's no such thing as "Mr. Right". Scientists and genetic engineering experts may need serious breakthrough in the his-tory of men kind. Meanwhile, there's too many "Mr. Wrong" who has came my that I can't keep track of. Lost lambs...
Like Mel, Nel thinks, "I just want a good man for me, or rather, I would like a man who would be good for me." Whatever...or one who is both. Mel hopes we would both find a good man for each one of us.
Mel said, it's hard to find a good man nowadays. So Nel said, "Hey Mel, a good man would be hard to find, but a hard man would be good to find!" But I also a clause to this suggestion, I told her whatever it is just make sure she knows what she's into and she's aware of what she's doing. Don't ever drink and drive a man. If you can't be good, be safe!
Like Speedy Gonzales, Mel quipped, "Hahaha! That's absolutely right! But I'd rather take the good man than the hard one."
I said, "But you know what, a good man who can't get hard would be a problem too. Find a good guy who's hard too. On second thoughts, if you can't find a good guy who's hard, for now, just find a hard guy who's good."
My witty protege, Mel suggested, if one can't find "Mr. Right" now, then one could also settle for "Mr. Right Now". I told her that she's learning very fast in a day. My protege is a prodigy.
Mel responded, "Well, I'm a medical student so I absorb information like a sponge. especially when it's about guys." Hehehe that I absorb fast, too. Well, way to go, girl!
By the way, Mel is a 23-year old who is a medical student at Manila University. She's planning to come back to Malaysia next year, and we're both planning for a trip to either Sabah and maybe go to Sarawak, too, for a longhouse river safari.
